GRC - Governance Risk & Compliance
In today's business environment, companies are living under growing pressure to implement, monitor and comply with external regulations. With increased pace they are looking for practices to address the challenge in an integrated and comprehensive way to keep costs down, minimize risk, escape litigation, but also protect the company image and brand. Many consider the challenge in compliance with the rule as a "necessary evil". It comes in from the side, seen composed of costs, as an extra workload, etc. The approach often appears as reactive, limited and focused. The goal should be to regard Compliance as a fundamental part of the backbone in the organization. That compliance only requires sampling and the work is mainly automatic and does not depend on individuals whilst it is implemented. The change in the organization towards an overall "Best Practice" for the area needs to be based on prerequisites and opportunities and to be conducted in close collaboration with business units but also with adding of new perspectives!

Frameworks (best practices) exist as industry standards in many aspects and areas. Some relate directly to external regulations, others are far more implicit and unclear in the context such as methods for SD or Project Management. Often they exist already in the organization. Correct implemented and by requirements from Compliance function, a lot of synergies create in supporting the operation of regulatory compliance - such as minimization of risk and increased degree of automation.Services
