Business Process Management

What is BPM?

BPM (Business Process Management) is mainly the work to describe, introduce, maintain and refine the business processes of a company. BPM concerns many of the major functions of a company, e.g. management, production/delivery and IT. In most mature organizations, the IT function itself has its own business process too, aiming to efficiently support the company's business.

Efficient processes - Efficient business

Within Anchor, we embrace the idea that a company with efficient business processes is an efficient company. Our mission is to help our clients introduce, maintain and refine efficient business processes.

Consider the following:
  • Do you, in your company, have any workflow that is perceived as non-smooth, or that takes unproportionally long time to perform, or that often fails to give the expected outcome?
  • Do you, in your company, have any workflow that is hard to control or manage, a hard-to-follow workflow that you are not really sure if it is efficient or not?
  • Do you, in your company, have any workflow that is lacking a decent IT based support system - a vulnerable workflow with built-in personal dependencies?

At Anchor, we are experts on analyzing and solving this kind of problems.

Our method

You can eat an elephant if you cut it in thin slices.

The business process of a company is almost always composed by a great number of sub processes. In a process refinement undertaking, the first thing we do is to identify the elite underperformer sub process of the company - the process that actually restrains the company the most. This process becomes our first slice of the elephant.

This sub process is analyzed by our experts using our internal method, and at an early stage the know-how and experience that exists in the company is involved. Together we elaborate a proposal on how to reform this process into something that will deliver the expected value to the company. When done, our expert consultants take lead in the work to introduce the new, changed process in the organization.

When this change project is performed, and the extended business value is verified, we cut the next slice of the elephant.

Open Eye

Open Eye is an open source based platform for digitalized BPM. Companies using Open Eye achieve a strictly process oriented way of working, with more efficient business processes as a result. Open Eye is competing directly with commercial products on the market.

Our choice to promote Open Eye is based on the idea that our clients shall be offered a production quality BPM solution at a reasonable price - a solution where all business support systems of the company converge into one single point of access.

Getting under the hood, Open Eye can be described as a combination of a digital process engine and an integration hub, where existing information sources (like systems, data bases, processes) are tied into a well arranged, easy-to-grasp entity. Open Eye's support for process governance, systems integration and report generation brings overview and control to the user.
