Our customer, the pharmaceutical company Medivir, has for the implementation of SAP S/4HANA been named Business System Project of the Year 2015 in connection with Forum4IT in Gothenburg on May 3.

The project was deployed on time and on budget, despite the high demands of the pharmaceutical industry. In tough competition, Medivir and Implema were named winners of the 2015 ERP Project of the Year. The project met all the competition criteria: clear business case, contract with clear delivery specification, professional project model and achieved effect after start of operation. The project involved about 20 people and affected the entire organization. This is the first time SAP S/4 Hana has been implemented in Sweden. Roland Sannicolo from Anchor Management Consulting had the role of project manager: "It is obviously necessary that structures, methods and conditions are in place in a complex project like this. But in the end, it's the people who do the work. It was a team effort from start to finish. Everyone had the ambition and the will to do their utmost to make this happen. - The difficult part of the project was that we were under strong regulatory requirements. In the pharmaceutical industry, everything has to be documented, with traceability requirements. The workload was exhausting for the staff, who had to do their work on the line in parallel," says Roland Sannicolo. - "Change projects are generally about creating something new and doing something different. They often require skills that may not be available. For employees to want to create change and be committed, they need drive. This varies among the project members, and if the management team does not realize this, the project may be in trouble right from the start. Where the will exists, you will go far, says Roland Sannicolo. - As an external consultant, it is clear whether the attitude of the staff is positive towards implementation and whether it will be fun. That's how it felt at Medivir," concludes Roland Sannicolo.
