I’ve been following Gamification for quite a while, now Swedish media seems to get it up on the radar. I like Waze manifesting all hypes in one go; gamification, crowdsourcing, open source, mobility and social media. Will You be King of the road?
AstraZeneca, Ford et al. are using gamification as incentives for learning and Google has successfully improved the travel reporting. Few companies have yet taken the plunge and created game plots with points, levels and achievements of their scorecards and KPI’s to replace dreary reports with real time game style challenges.
This requires a lot in terms of process and information models, BI tools in real-time paired with a good portion out of the box thinking.
I believe iGeneration will understand, and contribute to the companies targets much quicker when confronted with an immediate and familiar challenge in an app, web page or iWatch when they come into work.
